Catalogue Text by Nell:

THIS IS BEFORE THAT
In the relative sense, this does indeed come before that – I wake up, I put on clothes, I eat breakfast, I go to work. But when viewed from the standpoint of the absolute,
there is NO this,
NO that and
NO I.
So what the fuck is this and who the fuck am I?
Well, THIS is IT and I don’t know who I am.
And in the next moment, this is IT and I am this.
This is circumstantial.
This is conditioned.
This is changing.
Again and again, never the same – that never actually arrives.
From the beginninglessness of time there has never been anytime to waste.
We don’t own time.
We are time.
And in time, we are gone.

Albert Einstein, on hearing of the death of a friend, remarked:
“Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.”

Or as a homeless man said to me the other day, “You got any spare change sister?”
I replied, “Brother, that’s all I am.”
